Planting and Care Instructions

Radishes can tolerate frost, so sow directly outdoors 4-6 weeks before the last spring frost date; or in late summer for a fall harvest. Plant seeds 1/4" deep in a sunny spot, without shade, in rich, well tilled soil. If soil is clay-like mix in some sand and fertilizer. Distribute seeds evenly about 1" apart in rows 6-12" apart. Thin radishes 1 every 2-3" when plants are a week old. Consistent, even moisture is key with radishes. Keep the soil moist with frequent, shallow waterings.
